Basic build here ya go.

Uw
1. Protective spirit
2. breeze
3. GUARDIAN ( avoidance of Savage slash...sometimes)
4. SS
5. Shadow of fear
6. essence bond
7. balth spirit
8. Mending

FoW
1. PS
2. breeze
3. Vigorous Spirit ( shatter enchant fodder )
4. SS
5. Insidious parasite ( your life line !!!!)
6. essence bond
7. balth spirit
8. Mending

IMO FoW is going to give u the most problems, because it is all about setting everything up before u lay waste to anything. Monks are NP as long as u have a shadow warrior or 2 around to lay SS on.The amount of monks in a group is not and i repeat not important as long as u pack them together side by side and have 2-3 shadow warriors to SS on, IMO dont kill all shadow warriors UNLESS they wont follow to next group. They are a portable battery and perfect healing mechanism for Insidious parasite.
Order of importance when it comes to SS on enemies in FoW
1. Shadow warriors
2. shadow mesmers ( fast cast rate)
3. shadow beasts
4. shadow elementals
5. shadow monks( not even worth laying spiteful on unless there is nothing else to hex because they cast and attack slower then the above mentioned enemies)

Usually beasts die first in large groups allowing Shadow warriors to engage IWAY= lots of aoe damage if they have spiteful on them. Once 1 drops the rest soon follow.

Shatter enchant is easy to get around....I shouldnt spoon feed it all right?

In UW vs aatxe you can take on 3 at a time , but it's alot easier to set them up with 2 right in front of you and the third stuck behind the first 2. Try using guardian vs 3 attacking Aatxe....you will be there for awhile getting pounded by savage slash after savage slash., it can be frustrating. Watch the video of the aatxe slaying and you will get the idea. You could use SoF on them but I like them to drop them fast and keep my energy in the clear. N/mo vs 1 aatxe= my bet is on aatxe simply because energy becomes a problem

Darkness....I shouldnt even have to explain how to kill them. 1 SS and a max damage wand will finish off a group in no time.

As for smites make them waste smite hex with shadow of fear. then Ss, and recast SoF to "blanket" SS. Rinse and repeat till dead. If the 20% recharge kicks in on spiteful u can get off a 2nd SS then cover with SoF.

For example... you round up a group of 5 smites. Pack them up nice and tight, Cast SoF, WATCH the smite hexes flash in front of you. On the 4th smite hex start casting SS on a "clean" smite, and not the last smite crawler with SoF waiting to get removed. by the time the last SoF is smite hexed SS will have landed on one of the other smites, starting the damage dealing process. Ya I know Shadow of fear will slow down their attack rate....yaya, try suffering......recharge time and 15 nrg cost too much IMO and wont make the killing speed any faster.

Dont be afraid to use guardian vs smites either during their zealots fire bursts and melee attacks . And dont take on anymore then 5 smites at a time...you will have a hard time keeping life up and keeping SS on them even if u do know spots where u can stick them so they wont attack you in full force.

I uploaded a few more vid's feel free to peep them out.

quick question...for the invinci-necro builds...what armor set would work best for farming griffons and such? and what kind of weapon/offhand would be best?

I was experimenting with a solo necro build for UW similar to that...stayed alive fine vs. 3 aataxes, but I was running into problems having my ss interrupted. I was thinking price of failure for evasion....wasn't really working vs. multiple aataxes tho.....

Guardian? I would take Orison of Healing. Orision, for 5 energy, is a complete heal basicaly. Guardian without high protection prayers has a very low chance, ~25%. Orison has 100% chance. The only time you really need this will be vs. Smites when you get more than 4-5 at once.

Shadow of Fear is counter-syngergistic with Spiteful Spirit. I assume you take it mainly to handle masses of smites, but it will decrease your kill speed.

Why would u recommend orison of healing?
with +3 mend, and healing breeze what use would it have?

Guardian at lvl 10 protection has 40% chance to block FYI.

If u like getting pounded by savage slash...sure go ahead substitute orison for guardian. Ya u can draw the savage slashes out, but the A.I. on each group of aatxe varies so much that each different group will seek a certain spell to interrupt.Usually they are going to aim for SS You will be there for days clearing first room with orison trying to get a 2 sec cast time spell off vs 2-3 aatxe at once w/o guardian. I couldnt begin to tell you how many times my life has hovered at 1 - 5 hps while they swing away at a 40% guardian after getting 2-3 interrupts on breeze back to back.

SoF is a blanket hex, Same recharge time as SS. PERFECT IMO for the build, 10 nrg cost as well. Sof stays on smites for a total of what 15 secs at a time in between charge ups on smite hex. It only takes 2-3 SS's to take down a group of smites with this build if u have the timing down.

What would you suggest then .....suffering? I dont have time to wait 20 secs for the aoe hex to recharge and the 15 nrg cost isn't worth it IMO. For example...You aggro a group of 5 smites, cast suffering, they smite hex it away, then u cast SS, oh no they are smite hexing already...i just wasted a SS, and now i have to redo the procedure all over....get what im saying. It really isnt counter productive due to the simple fact that smite crawlers are monks, which means they will be doing alot of casting, which is going to trigger SS regardless . SoF doesn't slow down cast time and I will add again it only costs 10 nrg and has exact same recharge time as Spiteful. The build IMO is perfect. If it really isnt fix it, post build and i'll try it out. but i have been running this exact build for awhile now( 5 mill + exp running it ) and it works fine. Average a little over 30 -40 min runs killing all aatxe ( except the 1 at top of stairs), smites, darkness, and the occasional group of rambo coldfires that thinks they can take me out.

Take it for a spin...you will understand what im saying in regards to guardian and SoF.

Breeze+Mending will not keep you alive vs. more than 5 smites, and in many cases not even against 5 smites. I know this from experience with a Me/Mo. When you get rapidly hammered down the regen doesn't cut it, Orison is a full heal, complete, for 5 energy. Guardian is a lousy low chance to miss. Even the old Imonk used Mending+Watchful+Breeze, and they benefited from some amount of Divine Favor healing off Breeze and Prot Spirit.

Vexed.....please take some time and go back and read my previous posts. I'm getting the feeling im going around in circles with you.

+9 REGEN is more then enough to survive 5 smites, if your taking on more then 5 smites at once with 55 hp build and PS you need to rethink your strategy. This isnt prot bond, where you could round up 3/4 of the smites in uw and kill all at once. And once again as i said previously, there is no way you are going to stick a SS on a group with more then 5 smites....the smite hex recharge time is fast, and they will smite the SS instead of the remaining SOF if there is more then 5.

In your case with me/mo you might have np getting off a 2 sec cast time spell vs aatxe, because you have an attribute..... fast cast.....and unfortunately, necros dont have that since the last time I checked.

The build is lethal, try it, you will be more then happy, unless necros arent your thing

And as far as dying nightmares....dont go running thru the UW like a w/mo in disguise. Pull aatxe with wand from steps, start to back up as soon as the projectile is on course to your target . More often then not a dying nightmare will appear, and by walking backwards before aggro even takes place while the projectile is in mid-flight you're giving yourself a head start on the DN to get behind the ghosts, like in the aatxe video. On some of the stationary guards in the first chamber, this strategy wont work, you may have to tank an occasional aatxe and wand a DN, it is doable as long as u refresh PS and breeze before the DN makes it into range of your wand. If the DN doesnt drop in 2 wands hits run like a lil' girl until the aatxe and DN quit following, then figure out how to pick off the DN before re-engaging the aatxe. If by any chance you didnt catch the Dn in time and it is getting rend off, run and re-cast PS as soon as the rend process is done. You can survive tanking 3 aatxe and getting rended if you time PS right. Then find a safe spot to refresh all enchants and repeat process.

Dn's 9x out of 10 are usually in same spots throughout the whole run...ya they maybe pop from a spot a couple feet away from your previous run....but they are almost always in same areas. This is where exp doing the run will come into play. Tread lightly, dont rush. Noone likes paying 1plat to add another death to their character.

Not taking on >5 smites intentionally, there are some large groups from time to time, like 6. This isn't 2 groups aggroed, I pull with a bow from range. Anyways, I will leave you alone since you are just fine and peechy. Let me know how it goes once this happens to you.

If you want better hydra farming, try AOtl build, same build in my video list i use to farm fog nightmares outside ToA's.

As far as the UW farming...it's practice and a keen eye + timing. DON'T try to pop a SS on an aatxe if he hasnt used savage slash and you dont have guardian up...you are begging to get interrupted. And you also dont have to try and let another SS go as soon as it is charged. Savage slash has a 10 second recharge same as SS, so it is very important that you draw savage slash out before attempting to cast SS.

Here are a few examples, if im up against a pack of 2 aatxe i just tank them ( no wanding!!!!!! this is very important) let them fill my nrg up and periodically pop off a healing breeze, PS. IMO the 20% recharge wand is ideal for aatxe, since there is no fast cast , which means your skills are more likely to get interrupted. So you are tanking 2 aatxe, casting dummy spells to trigger savage slash. the 1 aatxe uses savage slash to interrupt breeze...good, breeze is interrupted, u recast breeze....maybe the 2nd attempt at casting breeze is interrupted too by the other aatxe. Now is your opportunity. Cast guardian, recast breeze, then cast SS. Simple isnt it? Repeat process. within 3 SS's the aatxe are dead and your moving on to the next group.

Me vs 2 "attacking" aatxe. I will never cast SS until at least 1 out of the 2 uses savage slash, and i have guardian up and blocking.

Me vs 3 "attacking " aatxe. This is alot more difficult since the savage slash recharges so fast. You are going to have to wait for 2 savage slashes within 10 seconds of each other AND have Guardian up and blocking to even attempt to cast SS on an aatxe in the group...yes you can get extremely lucky and cast SS with guardian on through 3 savage slashes, but I know the odds firsthand of you getting that spell off are very slim. 40% block rate is nice vs 1 aatxe with savage slash charged and ready....40% block vs 3 aatxe with savage slash charged and rdy isnt going to plant hexes everytime. Once you get good at it u can get 1-2 SS attempts off before the first SS'd aatxe loses the hex, meaning u can keep constant damage going on them.

They usually cycle through attacks severe artery, gash. And use savage slash when you attempt to get a spell off. So i wait for the -5 gash indicators to flash on my screen, then I attempt to draw out the interrupt(s)

On a good run I am clearing main starting room in about 10 mins or less. This isnt a pickup and run right away build like the mo/w...it requires you to get into the rhythm in order to run it effectively and deal constant damage.

KCP very nice vids, and very nice work ....

I'm gonna stick my neck out here, but I have only been to UW and FoW a handfull of times, and always with good friends who are well-versed in not dying down there ... but I believe the time has come for me to try my hand at 55HP'ing ... and I <3 my necro ... so you could say i'm more of a solo noob and not an underworld noob: I understand fully what each skill on your bar does, and how to use them, and have a decent knowledge of how to get around down there, what the different creatures do, etc.

I do have plenty enough cash to get runes/tattoos/etc etc, but I share your same philosophy that it's not worth it to pay a plat just to get your ass kicked at a rapid pace (and hell the scenery isn't even that nice )

I think the nightmares would be my only problem with pulling it off ... do you know of maps anywhere that show where the DN's like to hide out? (hah or be willing to school me? ) It's nice you can hide behind the ghosts for the first one, but I think there are a few more as well if i'm not mistaken ... how do you deal with those? you mentioned running like crazy and immediate recast of PS, but I would think (heck, I *KNOW*) one hit from an Aatxe would turn you into an underworld pancake ... a 1 platinum pancake ...

So, in a nutshell ... please teach your young padwan learner the ways of the Necro Jedi

in my experiences, if i wait about 2 seconds between the casts, they'll try to interrupt both breeze and guardian, which gives me more than enough time to cast ss, even if guardian did get interrupted. UW really hasn't been to hard, I'm having a much tougher time in FoW. I'm pretty good with having cover enchants against the mesmers, but incendiary bonds is raping me. The -7 degen from burning is just way too much to counter...I've still never killed that group with 2 eles, a mesmer, a war, and a shadow beast. Do you just skip that one or am I doing something wrong?

I love that mob to the right at start...you probably are not pulling them from the right spot to clump them up for a fast kill. Check out the "must see set up b4 kill video" where i destroy that mob and the 2 ele patrol and get 2 shards from the entire group.

Here's my tip for ele's and incendiary. The group that is giving you problems has a shadow warrior, cast Insidious parasite on him ASAP=no worries from burning, also there is the 2 ele , mesmer patrol that makes a large route around by tower and back to the area where the path leads to the beach. Unfortunately...theres no warrior in that group to use this strategy...unless you're smart and keep a warrior alive to leech off of. Use vig spirit in this spot and spam spells as often as u can( remember to cover PS!!! and prepare for shatter ) you will have np.

Dying nightmares usually always spawn in the same area...this is where experience is going to pay off. After u kill the first group of the cows, go up steps more often then not there will be a dying nightmare 1/2 way between where the first guards you just killed and the next group of stationary guards behind lost soul are. Sometimes a Dn spawns close to second guards triggering them to chase you RUN back down the stairs , cows will stop following, Dn will probably get the rend off and not die cuz you should only have 3 enchants up. Let cows reset to guard position, target Dn, wand him. After the 2nd guards are killed ( I hope you are pulling aatxe to you and not running to them ) there will be 1-2 more dns before u aggro the next group of 2guards, walk careful through area, careful not to aggro cows...they will pop if they are present you just have to trigger them. Kill dns, aggro aatxe make them come to you. After aatxe are dead, there maybe 1 more before u reach bottom of stairs heading towards alternate entrance to terrorwebs, and there is usually 1 dn at very top of flight of stairs. Very rarely is there ever a dn in the chamber that opens after clearing squids from 1st quest on way to smites unless it is already spawned with patrol squids...occasionally there will be one that pops and screws everything up...but hey you never gonna have 100% success rate, and you can always run back to start area if one pops and rends if your path is clear. There is an average of 2-4 DN's in smite area. If they rend and you have smites inbound, recast all enchants starting with PS, breeze, balth, mend, essence. You can tank smites with ps and breeze and recast your vital enchants. I have survived being rended, while fighting coldfires and/or inbound smites before on several occasions. I guess it all boils down to being aware of the enemies on the battlefield, and being prepared at all times

MAKE ENEMIES COME TO YOU, DO NOT RUN TO THEM!! You are asking to get rended and have to restart run. The only direction you should travel upon aggro of anything is back the way you came !!!! IMO learn to use keyboard instead of mouse, it is more precise. I use mouse to change camera views and to activate skills only. Hope this helps.

Guess i should have made a guide already but ive been so busy doing demos...its hard to find time
